Cheers. Didn't think of information technology. I by and large do non set alarms on calendar etc, and always wanted an contained alarm.
I practise not want to crowd the reminder with all sorts of misc things such as private/family matters or even some Tv programs etc, lol.
Independent alert clock is always useful Apple's alert has some ability to set appointment (day of the week etc) simply limited.
I will certainly explore more efficient employ of Reminder, which I employ generally for my biz.07-17-2013 eleven:19 AM

What exactly are y'all trying to exercise? What is this random alarm on some random date at some random time going to practise for you?
Is information technology really as simple as an instance; I want to set up an warning to go off on July 27th at 10:30am?
I wouldn't trust a third party app. The reminders app is probably the best option.
But I'm having a hard time even trying to propose an alternative because I'm not sure what you are trying to get done.

The Reminders app does give y'all the selection of creating lists. If not the native reminder app, how about a tertiary party reminder/To-Do app like Any.Practise? With information technology you can prepare specific dates and times as well as see your today, tomorrow and upcoming events/Projects/To-Do's. I, also, have searched the App Shop for an appropriate alarm clock for you, just I still believe that your best bet is using a reminder/to-exercise app like the ones mentioned higher up.

Yes, July 27th at x:30am, in a nut vanquish :-). Nonetheless, the reason is really more than that.
I can just besides fix those alarms on my calendar, which is probably more appropriate for the purpose. But I just exercise non similar to exercise so (also, I have to make certain that information technology won't sync with all other Apple devices I have (desktop, laptop, iPad etc).
I merely need a unproblematic and "stand up-alone petty app for the dedicated purpose of setting alarms for multitude of misc stuff on the fly, and I practise not want contaminate calendar and reminder with those.
I have been a Mac user for over a quarter centuries and using the iPhone since its inception. In the last few years, I was flirting with BB,southward just for simple, user-friendly and biz-like functions for most lxxx% of what I do with a smartphone. I am now slowly coming back to the iPhone for a unmarried device solution (I never left it, but using it every bit a supplement to the Bold 9900), and found certain apps are more convenient in BB, and an alarm clock was one of them. I won't exclude apps simply because they are 3rd party ones. Merely, cheers for the suggestion.I use the phone mostly for the concern, and have a few other non-native PIM apps over the years. In a To Practice or task list expanse, I used ToodleDo and Recall the Milk and all that, merely with Reminders showed up (notwithstanding not a matured app though), I consolidated all of them into it (mainly considering the sync with Calendar etc are easier, i.eastward., I have been deep into the Mac eco system over the years :-). Nevertheless, I found a dedicated and stand up-alone alarm clock app with less bells and whistles was then much more useful. In the case of BB, I just chosen up the app with ane key press, prepare and alarm and forget it. There must exist something similar that in the App Shop, but then far, it's filled with confusing array of apps, and just thought somebody might have an experience with a particular app, rather than going through reviews of each apps one by one.

I besides having a tough fourth dimension to find an alarm clock app that let me set past appointment, menaing over 24 hours.
iPhone'south own Agenda or Reminders didn't piece of work for me, because the notification was only a chime. I demand it to be like an alert that continue to ring until I snooze it.Whoever said "There'due south an app for information technology" is totally incorrect.

I use RedClock - it's a "nighttime stand up" app - displaying a clock without "sleeping" while plugged in. It has a dainty warning characteristic. There's also WorkTime, which is similar, but also displays your upcoming calendar events.

Y'all can change the alarm sound from the chime to something louder in both the calendar and Reminders apps. You can also set them to show a pop upward on the screen.

Thanks for suggesting RedClock. I downloaded the free version to try.
The free version is exactly like a typical alarm clock that let you set alarm every bit far as 24 hours.
I need something that let me set by date with continuous warning sound, not but a elementary ding or chinkle.
I would have thought this is an piece of cake fine.

What other Warning Clock apps accept you tried?

I searched the app store, tried out a dozen alarm clock apps, but tin't seem to discover i that let i set by date. Agenda or Reminders, or todo apps merely offers out a quick short sound.

I use the stock clock app for several alarms. It'southward continuous and loud.

I causeless you meant the clock app that came with the iPhone.
How can you fix by date? I tin can only set up up to 24 hours.06-06-2015 05:fourteen PM

You can't. It'south by calendar week days and time. Just I recollect you tin can set Reminders to the aforementioned alert sound.

That's what I thought...the default clock app is only 24 hours and repeat by week days. And then this doesn't work for me.
Reminders doesn't work either, because the Reminders app only gives out a short chinkle, or ding or whatever sound yous ready to, and information technology only lasts for a 2nd. I want the alert sound to be continuous, like an alarm clock, until I terminate information technology or snooze.
I've been saying this from my first mail, Reminders or typical alarm clock is not working the way I would like, neither will the Calendar.
I realized in that location is no such app out there for iPhone at the moment, but I am withal hoping.

What's wrong with the short alarm audio with a popular up alert that won't go away without your activity?

This pop up. Information technology stays on the screen until you lot dismiss it.

By the time I realized I had a reminder, I already missed my appointment. So I need something to continue on ringing.
Anyway, I'grand not going to get into details to justify my needs/wants from an app to you.
Obviously, there isn't such an app in the Apple App Store. Nonetheless! Crossing my fingers.06-07-2015 01:fifty AM
